NOKIA SERVICE AND ITS CARE...
I bought this Nokia 2760 and started facing incoming and outgoing call problems. I checked with the service provider and finally found the issue with the recently brought handset. On suggestion of Nokia customer care I deposited the model to Nokia care. I just cant imagine how a company like Nokia has so horrible customer care. They are never aware of the status and always bargain times. After keeping the phone for 2 months, they returned me the set unfixed, as it is. I sent innumerable mails and they have the same content (We want to help our customers.... LOL), plz re-deposit the set. I learnt from other dealers and even the Nokia Care guy had told me that this set is having issues, but Nokia just doesnt bother to do anything with it. After all it has sold it. So guys, just dont have a blind faith on Nokia and especially its post purchase handlings, which is simply horrible. Thx" Handset: Nokia 2760

not available in day time, only after 10p.m in night to 6am. in morning!
The Story does not end here. I have been following up with BSNL help line
since August 2005,first I followed with my earlier number 9497250618 which
I later lapsed due to frustration at that time the single Barbil tower
was not responding at all. There after there are now 5 towers here and
now we get a very slow speed in the night. Its not the matter of settings
I have used my set in Jamshedpur in roaming at very good speed.During my
several conversations with the cust care operators, and supervisors, I
found that while they forwarded each and every request, they were are as
helpless as me in front of Orissa GPRS manager ! In fact they clearly and
inderectly pointed out that the Orissa GPRS manager doesnot care a dime
about complaints. Its not that Barbil is a remoter area, but its a high
revenue earner for BSNL as its an Industrial hub and Border town.They told
me to follow up with local TDM who does not care half a dime..........."

I purchased a NOKIA 7610 handset from dealer M/S Link telecom Pvt. Limited 23B/40/1A, Block-B, New Alipore,Kolkata-700053 by Invoice No.04/HS/07-08/Aug/023,dated 04/08/2007. Detail of the set: (IMEI No.:354813017783646) Batt: 06704004175350244G10857483 The set was hardly in use as I am already having a second set (Samsung, Obsolate model, still working very well), however, I needed net connection to my laptop through mobile GPRS, and hence the purchase for the new set with the facility. We observed key pad locking/unlocking problem has developed recently and the battery is getting heated up suddenly. We were scared, if the battery burst, as reported in newspapers and TV. The battery used to be taken out immediately and reinstalled after lapses of some time, before the set start normal functioning. These were done twice before the set went complete dead. The battery was taken out as it was getting heated up again. It was disgusting and unpleasant experience to have; a brand new defective handset from NOKIA. I met 'Care' centre M/s A.M.Mobile Telecom Pvt. Ltd. G-7, Merlin Manor, 32 D.P.S Road, Kolkata-700033 with the set. The person in counter inspected the unit and issued 'Job Sheet No.:228434038071004/10, dated 04/10/2007 and asked me to get in touch after couple of days for the delivery. However, I received a call from them on 5/10/07, informing me that there appears to be so called 'Liquid Damage' after the inspection by their engineers and therefore they can only 'Repair' on chargeable basis or return the set. It was very shocking to learn about so called damage and I was least prepared to be at receiving end after spending hard earned money. The Care people failed to provide any logical or technical reason for their unilateral findings and did not bother to listen to customer's complaint. My formal complain to the Manager, Customer Care, urging for his intervention, remained unanswered till date. We never expected this type of lackadaisical attitude to the customer from NOKIA." this didnt happen and after few months,from 17.10.2007,it is costing

and 2 times of earlier rate for sms.when i asked customer care for explanation,i
didnt get a proper answer.

the service of tataindicom postpaid. I was having a plan in the post paid
connection in which i was paying a monthly rental of 150 rs and all my
incoming calls were free when i was in roaming, only this was the reason
for me to going to tataindicom post paid connection because i have heard
that in post paid plans once activated cant be changed forver. After that
they send me a letter in which it was mentioned that i will be charged
40 paise per call while roaming from april. Now i have got the bill and

I was a prepaid Airtel subscriber with billing of over Rs.2000/- per month (since 2004) billed directly to my credit card. Come Jan'07, Airtel billing system lost my Credit card number and CS started harassing with calls and multiple SMSs for payment. I didn't relent. They disconnected my number without prior information. Affected my business. I didn't want to be taken for a ride and asked for removal of service. Needless to say, they shamelessly charged me late fees (despite 7 complaints highligting their goof up) and disconnected my number a month later so they can charge me All India Roam Rental plan. I called them to cancel auto debit to my credit card but they didn't do as well. CHEAP WAY OF MAKING MONEY FROM THE SO CALLED NO. 1 REPUTED CELLULAR SERVICE PROVIDER... They are not more that 2 months old and I have already visited the customer
service in New Delhi ( Green Park)3 times for getting them fixed up. The
model A1200 or Ming as you call it hangs a lot; the camera does not work,
constantly have software problems and vibrates frequently on its own. Can
you tell me what do I need to do to get it in a proper working condition.
It was the 1st time that I shifted from Nokia, paid a hefty amount and

aware about the fraud and cheating that is taking place at NOKIA CUSTOMER
CARE(HCL INFINET)at District Center, Janak Puri, New Delhi. They proclaim
to be only ISO 2001 9000 certified service center in India yet last month
when I went there to get my h/set repaired,it took me over six hours to
get my turn to move to the counter. Now my h/set, 6100 was under warranty.
It was working fine except for the fact that it was switching off occasionally
which was duly conveyed to the recieving counter staff. A few days later
I was told that the set was liquid damage and could not be repaired under
warranty and that I will have to pay them Rs 800/- for repair. On contesting
the same, they returned my h/set in a dead condition. When I tried to get
it repaired from another service center, I was told that Nokia care center
at Janak Puri has still not closed the account. Actually, they did not
want that I should be able to get it repair elsewhere so they had deliberately
not closed the account. Finally, on opening the h/set at home it was discovered
that the battery connectors connection was severed and only needed to be
joined again. Since then, the set is working absouletly fine as ever before.
Also, of note, I found that at the service center, they were telling most
of the customer whose sets were under warranty as liquid damage case so
that they could cheat them as they tried to do in my case."

I bought Motorola SLVR L7. I liked the slim looks and wanted a phone which
had Bluetooth, a camera/video, and an external memory card for a reasonable
price. It seemed the L7 @ Rs 8500 was a good buy. But...
Two days after purchase, the phone suddenly hung. I switched off and on, nothing. I removed the back cover, pulled out the battery, inserted it again, and only then did it start working. It has a digital audio player so I transferred some MP3s from my laptop to the memory card via bluetooth. It worked fine for a few days, then suddenly I got the message that the memory card could not be accessed. I took it to the Motorola service centre and the technician told me that because I had used Bluetooth the MC got infected and corrupted. A replacement MC was unavailable for almost 15 days. Finally, I got one, and this time used the data cable to transfer the music. After transferring 3 songs it said no memory was available. Corrupted again! I took the card out and now the phone memory is available but not adequate for more than one MP3 file. I went back to the service centre and there I found it to be so crowded with only one very polite but overstretched technician handling more than 20 complaints an hour, that I left. I observed most of the handsets being brought in were the SLVR models. I now regret buying this phone and should have paid a little more and remained faithful to Sony Ericsson. The L7 cannot even give the area information that the service provider broadcasts free and something which even the cheapest of Nokia cellphones can display. as per the expectations. Yes.. once you click the photo you can zoom it
to upto 16 times. The earpiece and speakerphone clarity is amazing..
It has a 2 way Voice clarity filter which filters the background noice and gives crystal clear sound to you as well as the person you are talking to. It has dual steriophonic speakers with 3D surround.. but the volume is not too high. This problem can be taken care of by using company supplied sterio headsets. The set has all the features that is found in any high end phone. The biggest limitation it has is its battery backup... It lasts for about 2.5 days(continuously without a switch off) if i only talk.Continuous Talktime is about 5.5 hours.When i use the MP3 player is lasts for about 1.5 hours (coontinuous). The Video player is so so... we can't get full screen vedio playback. it has 73 mb of internal mamory out of which 4 mb is Java shared memeory.It employs a MicroSD memory card which is very small in size. I got a free 128 mb card with the pack. The slider mechanism is not very smooth but you can overcome this with some practice. Overall I would rate this phone at 8 on a 10 point scale. Not bad......" me. I am an Airtel subscriber in Karnataka, and every now and then
I receive an automated call from Airtel explaining me about caller tunes,
telling me to discard the "old and boring" tring tring and embrace songs
to greet the callers. Call charges are Rs 6 per minute and monthly
rental Rs 30. I feel this is totally waste of money and i will never
opt for this service. Sometimes i will be in a meeting, riding a
bike, driving a car, having lunch/dinner and doing some very personal things
and i receive this call, this irritates me like anything. I have called
up the customer care several times and registered my complaints, i have
even told them i will complain to the higher authorities and they say I
can do as I wish!! This shows that Airtel has total disregard for the Courts
ruling and continues with its menacing acts. Is there no one whom
i can complain to?? why are subscribes being taken for a ride, why are
we receiving such totally unsolicited calls? Are subscribes totally helpless
in this regard, if u people can help me in this regard, i will be eternally

So many problems we are facing for the Calls to those places. Subscriber has to pay extra charges for first 2-3 calls. After that it start working fine. I want to say, if really there is a problem, it should not work any way but the thing is after paying some extra call charges you will be able to talk. This is not the case with BSNL only.
