Vodafone announces roaming rates of 70paise/minute and 1.5 p/sec
Mumbai, December 08, 2009: Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading cellular services providers, today announced new plans which offer substantial reduction in national roaming rates for its Prepaid and Postpaid customers in Mumbai. Customers can either opt for the ‘Travel Plan’ to enjoy roaming rates of 70p/min or the ‘Ticket Plan’ to enjoy roaming rates of 1.5p/sec These plans will be valid when customers latch on to the Vodafone network while roaming in India.
Prepaid customers in Mumbai can purchase the Travel Plans and Ticket Plans by recharging with the Rs 61 & Rs 62 Bonus Cards respectively. These plans carry a validity of 365 days from the date of recharge.
Postpaid customers in Mumbai can opt for the Rs. 299 ‘Travel Plan’ or the Rs. 299 ‘Ticket Plan’ to enjoy the new per minute and per second roaming tariffs respectively. In addition to the 70p/minute national roaming rate, the Rs. 299 Travel Plan offers a rate of 50p/ min for local & STD calls and 175 mins on local & STD calls per month. Similarly, in addition to the roaming rate of 1.5p/sec, the Rs. 299 ‘Ticket Plan’ offer the customers a rate of 1p/sec for local & STD calls and 10,000 local and STD seconds per month.
