DLF IPL season III tickets now available on Vodafone M-Shop

For the first time in India IPL tickets can be purchased through your mobile phones

Mumbai, March 3, 2010: Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading cellular services providers, today announced that all Vodafone customers can purchase DLF IPL season III tickets through Vodafone M-Shop. Vodafone Customers can access M-Shop by dialing 53333 (toll free) or SMS MSHOP to 53333. Customers can also buy tickets by logging into Vodafone Live or www.vodafone.in.

Through this exclusive service on Vodafone, customers can enjoy the privilege of booking DLF IPL Season 3 tickets on their handset at any time and place convenient to them. Customers will be guided through an easy step by step process where they can choose seats in a particular stand of their choice to cheer for their favorite team. Payment for the tickets can be made through credit cards with a convenience charge of Rs. 30 per ticket.  Customers get an SMS acknowledgment immediately on confirmation of payment, making it safe and secure. Once they purchase a ticket they have an option of collecting it from select Vodafone stores or get it delivered at their home at a nominal courier charge.

About Vodafone M-Shop:

Vodafone M-Shop is a service that allows customers to make various bill payments, recharge any Vodafone prepaid connection, pay any Vodafone postpaid bill, recharge Dish TV or TATA Sky connection, book movie tickets, air tickets, shop for popular books, buy flowers and gifts using their Visa® or MasterCard® credit cards. This service is available on 53333 (toll free). This service is available through IVRS for all Vodafone customers and through Java platform for WAP/GPRS enabled phones.

All transactions made on M-Shop are updated in the back end systems immediately. As soon as the transaction is completed customers get an SMS confirming if the transaction is successful or declined. In terms of security, Vodafone M-Shop adheres to the highest security standards (128 BIT encryption on a Secured Socket Layer) available globally for financial transactions.

Vodafone M-Shop is in association with Mumbai based Atom Technologies on the IVR. The handset application piece is in association with Gurgaon based Com Viva Technologies.
