Vodafone launches Chhota Credit @ Rs.10 for prepaid subscribers

Offers a little extra when you most need it

 

Mumbai, May 26, 2008: Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading cellular service providers, today launched a product called Chhota Credit for its prepaid subscribers. Subscribers can now get a credit amount of Rs.10 by just sending an SMS.

 

Harit Nagpal, Marketing and New Business Director, Vodafone Essar, said “Chhota Credit will enable our subscribers to make a call in the event they do not have sufficient balance in their prepaid account and a recharge shop is not close by or open.”

 

Vodafone prepaid subscribers, who have a balance of less than Rs. 5, can use  this product by sending CREDIT as an SMS to 144 (Toll Free).  Rs.10 will then be added to their prepaid account.  A service charge of Re 1/ transaction will be applicable. This credit comes with a validity of 7 days and will be adjusted against the customer’s next recharge. Prepaid subscribers who have been on the Vodafone network for over 3 months can use Chhota Credit.
