Live election updates with Vodafone Election Alerts

Get the latest information on 2009 General Elections only on Vodafone

Delhi, March 23, 2009 – Vodafone Essar, one of India’s leading cellular service providers, today announced the launch of the ‘Election Alert’ service for its customers. This service aims to keep customers abreast on political developments by providing them constant updates on the upcoming general election.

The Vodafone Election Alert Pack will provide four updates daily on the candidates profile, trivia about past elections, information on key constituency profiles, latest elections news and poll results. On the result days there would be 15 alerts or more available for the Vodafone customers. Vodafone has partnered with NDTV for the contents of the ‘election alerts’. 

Vodafone customers will get updates four times a day for a subscription charge of Rs.30/- per month. Vodafone customers can dial in *123*527# or SMS <ACT VAElection> to 111 to activate this service. The Election Alerts will be available till May 31, 2009.
