Tata Indicom presents Welcome Tunes – tag 15 different ‘welcome tunes’ for your callers

New Delhi, May 13, 2008: Tata Indicom, the youngest and the fastest growing telecom service providers across the country today announced an industry first value added service that permits subscribers to assign up to 15 different ‘Welcome Tunes’ from the latest music hits, songs and sound clips to one number.  

This service enables subscribers to replace the usual "ring" sound their callers hear with up to 15 different tunes, from a range of over 25,000 songs across genres such as Bollywood, Regional, International and Funny Tunes. This will be available to all Mobile and Walky users, who can now liven up their caller’s call experience with a different tune every time they call.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pankaj Sethi, President, VAS, Tata Teleservices, said, “At Tata Teleservices, we constantly strive to bring world class services and products to our customers. We now offer our subscriber the freedom to greet their callers with ‘not just one’ but over ‘15 songs’ of their choice. With this the callers wont have to hear one boring ring tone, but they would be able to enjoy different songs set by the user, every time they call them “

 

He further added: “We have always encouraged the usage of Value Added Services (VAS) by constantly providing innovative schemes and promotional offers to our customers. The wide portfolio of Value Added Services caters to the interests of every segment, be it youth, housewives, working professionals or business class. ’’

 

The services will be charged @ Rs 30/- per month for subscription for postpaid subscribers and Rs.15/- for 15 days for prepaid subscribers. Each tune comes at a cost of Rs 10 with a validity period of 90 days. It can be accessed and activated via IVR by dialing the short code 12800. Alternatively customers can SMS <WT Code> to 12800 (Rs 3/- per SMS) to activate the welcome tunes. These codes are available on the Tata Zone for all.
