TATA TELESERVICES APPOINTS MR. DEBASHIS SUR AS THE NEW CIRCLE OPERATING
OFFICER FOR DELHI AND NCR

New Delhi, April 26, 2006:  Tata Teleservices, India's premier telecom service provider announced the appointment of Mr. Debashis Sur as the new Circle Operating Officer (COO) for Delhi and NCR, effective April 2006. Mr. Sur comes armed with over 10 years experience in the telecom sector. He joined Tata Teleservices in April 2004 as Vice President and Head of Customer Care for national operations.

Mr. Sur started his career with Modi Xerox in Mumbai and subsequently moved on to head operations as the Country Operations Manager in Nepal. He also served as Vice President, B.K Moditar, Moscow but returned to India in the wake of the telecom boom. He joined Modi Telstra, Kolkata and after gaining substantial expertise moved on to become Vice President CSD for North Central Region, Bharti Cellular Ltd.  Mr. Sur's wide breadth of responsibilities and proven expertise in managing affairs made him the ideal
candidate to join Tata Teleservices as V.P and Head Customer Care for national operations. His present appointment as the COO, Delhi and NCR is in extension of the company's beliefs in his abilities.
