New Delhi, July 24, 2007– Sony Ericsson Mobile Communication India Pvt Ltd., a leading GSM handset player in India, today launched 8 new high-technology handsets in India, consolidating its presence in the Music, Imaging and Smartphone categories. The company also announced the launch of new emotive series that focuses on individuals who love indulgence and pampering. The new models embody the latest technology and features, with attractive designs.

The new launches include the much awaited next generation smartphone – P1i with 3 way-input and Business Card Scanner; 3 new additions to the WALKMAN® series –  W580i with shake control technology; W910i with SensMe technology and the Music storehouse W960i. The Cyber-shot series has been expanded with the launch of the K810i & K850i with 5MP and Photo-Fix features. The Emotive series includes two new models – T650i & S500i with features inspired by nature like illumination effects and themes that can be customized as the seasons change or the day turns into night.

Sony Ericsson P1i carries forward the company’s lineage as a thought leader in enterprise segment, further to the global success of P-series. The P1i features a GPS application, BlackBerry support, a Business Card scanner and a three-way text input via touchscreen keyboard, QWERTY Keyboard and handwriting recognition.

Adding to its WALKMAN® range, Sony Ericsson has unveiled three new generation stylish handsets – W580i, W910i and W960i, reiterating the commitment to the mobile music entertainment. These new handsets offer technologically advanced features like Shake Control in W580i, SensMe in W910i, and high capacity Music Storage in W960i.

With the launch of K810i and K850i Cybershot phones, Sony Ericsson is enhancing user experience in mobile imaging. These handsets offer features like  - BestPic™, PictBridge and PhotoFix, enabling users to click high quality life-like images. The Cybershot User-Interface allows clicking best images and videos with dedicated camera keys, auto focus and a Xenon Flash.

Sony Ericsson has launched an entirely new range based on Emotive platform –S500i & T650i, targeted a providing a ‘Feel Special’ experience to individuals who love indulgence and pampering. These handsets are inspired by nature, and feature illumination effects and themes that can be customized as the seasons change or the day turns into night.
