India appoints Suresh Vedula as Head, Business Mobility, Nokia India
New Delhi, June 06, 2008: In keeping with its strategy to focus on the enterprise mobility space, Nokia announced the appointment of Suresh Vedula as the Head, Business Mobility, Nokia India. Based in Delhi, Mr. Vedula will be responsible for the overall operations of enterprise solutions group in India that includes a broad range of business-focused products and solutions, viz. security infrastructure, software and services.
Mr. Vedula comes on board with over 18 years of work experience in the IT and telecom space. Prior to joining Nokia India, Mr. Vedula worked with British Telecom, India as the Head, Business Development. While at BT India, Suresh built a large Deal team, which resulted in a multi-fold increase in revenue from the Managed Network services.
Speaking on the appointment of Mr. Vedula, Mr. D Shivakumar, Managing Director, Nokia India, said, “Nokia is a leader in mobility for the consumers in India and we intend to extend this leadership to enterprise space as well. We are confident that Suresh’s industry experience will further strengthen our presence as a leading provider for world class business-focused products and solutions in the Indian market.”

Nokia cooperates with a range of companies to provide fixed IP network security, mobilize corporate e-mail and other IT applications, and to extend corporate telephony systems to Nokia’s mobile devices. Prior to BT India, Mr. Vedula worked with well-known IT/ telecom companies like Motorola (Networks), IBM and Wipro. Mr. Vedula is an engineer and an MBA from IIM, Bangalore.
