
New Delhi: Febuary 27 2007 - To further drive the usage of FM enabled mobile phones in the country, Nokia today announced the launch of its latest mobile phone, Nokia 2626. This stylish entry level handset is available in three funky colors - Wild Strawberry, Denim Blue and Metallic Bronze.

Nokia 2626 not only helps
the consumers make a style statement with its trendy design, but also provides
them an enriched mobile music experience with FM Radio along with an integrated
handsfree speaker. The Nokia 2626 has upto 65,000 colors to give consumers
the right balance of technology and design at an affordable price point.
Mr. Devinder Kishore Director, Marketing - Customer and Market Operations Nokia India, said “FM Radio is clearly becoming one of the more popular features on mobile handsets in India. In 2006 alone, Nokia globally, delivered more than 130 million devices with integrated FM radio. Mr. Kishore further added, “Nokia is committed to offer ‘music on the go’ to all consumer segments and today we have the widest range of radio enabled handsets. With the launch of Nokia 2626, we are increasing the choice for our entry level customers.” In the last two years the Indian radio industry has seen a renaissance which has significantly been fuelled by the increase in FM channels and FM enabled phones.
