Ravneet Phokela joins Nokia’s global marketing organization as Global Marketing Manager
- First Indian to move into Nokia's global marketing role -

August 24, 2005, New Delhi: Nokia India today announced that Ravneet Phokela , Nokia India brand marketing and CRM manager will shortly be moving into a global role as a marketing manager in the Nokia Global Marketing organization, based out of London. UK . In his new role, Ravneet’s key responsibilities will include developing the global marketing communication strategy & communication architecture for Nokia’s Mobile Phone business.

Ravneet joined Nokia India in 2003 as a Brand Marketing and CRM Manager, with responsibilities for brand strategy, communication development and media planning & buying. He has played a key role in driving the ‘India connect’ for the Nokia Brand. One of the key campaigns in this direction was the successful Nokia 1100 –‘Made for India’ campaign. The ‘Har Jeb mein rang’ for N2600 was another localization initiative to drive Nokia’s share in the color phone market. Other than his India responsibilities, Ravneet has also been a part of multiple strategic marketing task forces in Nokia Asia-Pacific.

An IMT Ghaziabad graduate, Ravneet has worked with Lintas and Wirlopool, before joining Nokia.
