Nokia launches Nokia 9300i smartphone with WLAN in India enhancing its business mobility proposition
 Joins the popular Nokia 9300 enterprise smartphone and Nokia 9500 Communicator designed to excite and empower the 'inbox' crowd

New Delhi, India, February 20, 2006 - Nokia today announced the launch of Nokia 9300i smartphone in India. The Nokia 9300i is a compact business device with a full keyboard and        65,536-color screen, incorporating WLAN connectivity for faster wireless access to corporate information. The Nokia 9300i supports a broad range of enterprise email solutions and has an attachment viewer that makes it the perfect combination of design and function suited to meet the growing demands of mobile professionals.

The Nokia 9300i smartphone is an upgraded version of the Nokia 9300 smartphone and comes in a new dark grey color panel along with WLAN connectivity to enhance productivity by providing a reliable and cost-effective data connection for downloading large files or email1 with attachments.

The Nokia 9300i smartphone comes with large    built-in memory of 80MB, expandable with hot swappable MultiMediaCard (MMC). Being a complete business solution, the Nokia 9300i smartphone is compatible with several email solutions including Nokia Business Center, Seven Always-On Mail, Visto email technology, BlackBerry Connect and Data Access. In addition, it supports most of the office applications including documents, spreadsheets, and presentations that are compatible with the most common features of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (MS Office 97, 2000, XP and 2003) making it a feature rich mobile device.  

Nokia 9300i smartphone weighs 172 grams and belongs to series 80 platform with a symbian operating system version 7.0S.  It has conference call capability (up to 6 participants). The other applications of the device include calculator, file manager, voice 

recorder and music player. The Tri-Band Operation supports EGSM 900, GSM 1800, and GSM 1900 networks in Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific, North America, and South America.

Nokia 9300i has a talk time upto 3 hours 30minutes. The standby time for WLAN (off) is upto 170 - 230 hrs and WLAN (on) is upto 55 hrs.
