NEW DELHI, India – 11 February 2009Motorola, Inc.’s (NYSE: MOT) Indian subsidiary, Motorola India Private Limited, today announced its plans for an exciting range of products for India.  The MOTOROKR EM35, MOTO VE66, and MOTOSURF A3000 which will excite, enhance and enrich the music, imaging and smartphone experiences for Indian consumers.

MOTOROKR EM35: boasts audio-enhancing CrystalTalk™ technology and virtual surround sound with elite music functionality

A device designed for supreme audio performance both as a mobile device and music player, ROKR EM35 delivers an exceptional audio experience for both music and talk. ROKR EM35 is a robust music player with a full suite of dedicated keys to easily launch and control music. Whether listening via the built-in dual speakers, stereo Bluetooth wireless technology4 or 3.5mm stereo wired headphones, the EM35 rocks with 5:1 surround sound. Users can quickly access content or search through their music library to find a song that suits the mood by simply moving a thumb across the FastScrollTM navigation wheel. Pressing or holding the dedicated “play” key launches shuffle mode.

Slide the device open to send a text1 or surf the Web1 while listening to music, or to pause the music and make a phone call. Also, find pre-installed and downloadable2 “widgets” – third-party web applications – for access to real-time information such as weather, device status, RSS reader and more7.
The new upgraded CrystalTalk 2.0 offers a superior level of noise filtering with in-built stereo speakers that lets you hear music clearly, even in noisy environments.

 

MOTOMUSIC player1, 6, 8 is an exclusive application that enables users to listen to music while being simultaneously connected to the MOTOMUSIC music store. Once connected on the ROKR EM351, 8, users can discover and access new music, preview and purchase music, retrieve artist information, share favorite tracks with friends6, send music tracks as gifts and watch videos.

The ROKR EM35’s compatibility with WindowsTM Media Player 11 gives consumers the freedom to manage music on the PC and discover new music by downloading¹, 6 it from a PC to the phone from online music stores worldwide1, 6. ROKR EM35 has an integrated FM antenna that enables FM radio to be played over stereo Bluetooth or external stereo speakers without the use of a headset. Its FM radio with Radio Data System (RDS) technology2 makes identifying songs and artists easy by displaying available FM station information including song title, artist and genre. MUSICID technology1 completes the music experience and provides new ways to discover music while on the go.

 

ROKR EM35 offers a 3.1-megapixel camera with video capture and playback capability. It comes with 110MB9 of on-board memory expandable up to 32GB9.

 

MOTO VE66: Sports audio-enhancing CrystalTalk™ technology and widgets

 

MOTO Ve66 offers enhanced CrystalTalk™ audio technology, a 5-megapixel camera and MP3 player-like navigation for a 1-2-3 punch of great call quality, sharp pictures and an enjoyable music experience. The sleek, slider device also boasts the first widgets7 integration on a Motorola mobile device, providing users with easier, more seamless access to what matters most – weather, device status, RSS reader and more.


MOTO VE66 amplifies conversations and helps reduce background noise with enhanced CrystalTalk technology, so virtually nothing comes between conversations. From more superior voice quality to personalized noise adaptation, CrystalTalk  makes a noticeable difference in the clarity and intelligibility of conversations while in a noisy environment. VE66 further enhances the audio quality with the addition of a second microphone, which helps eliminate more ambient background noise from the call.

MOTO VE66 captures crisp and clear images with ease, bringing out the inner photographer in everyone. The VE66 contains a number of features that might be found on a digital camera. Pressing a dedicated camera key, the VE66 will quickly auto focus, activate an LED flash, if necessary, stabilize the image – all to help to ensure that shots are of the highest print quality. Automatic color saturation delivers whiter whites, crisper blacks and colors true to life. Use the device’s landscape feature to view photos on the brilliant color display.

MOTO VE66 offers FastScroll™ one-touch navigation wheel which allows users to breeze through menus and content with speed and accuracy. And that's not all that's fast. The MP3 player with USB 2.0 enables high-speed access1 to data and downloads on a PC while the Wi-Fi connectivity1 makes browsing the Internet or sharing6 photos, audio or video files with friends effortless. MOTOSURF A3000: Putting the World One Touch Away

Managing both social and work life just got easier with the MOTOSURF A3000. The touch tablet’s customizable home screen is layered on top of the familiar Windows™ Mobile 6.1 software and has many applications that can be accessed with the tip of a finger, a stylus or an omni-directional trackball. Windows™ Mobile 6.1 software synchronize contacts, calendar and email, and view and edit files with Docs2Go.  It also provides familiar and updated email1—business or personal—PC-like browsing1 with Internet ExplorerTM and instant messaging. MOTOSURF A3000 is capable of SMS conversation1 viewing for convenient dialogue tracking.
