Motorola Launches the MOTOYUVA W396, an All-New Stylish, Affordable, Music and Multimedia Phone

Motorola introduces new mobile music and imaging experience with the seventh MOTOYUVA phone in India

NEW DELHI, India --- December 10, 2008 – Motorola, Inc.’s (NYSE: MOT) Indian subsidiary, Motorola India Private Limited, today launched, in India, the Motorola MOTOYUVA W396, the new, stylish, affordable, mobile music phone with multimedia features for India’s youth in an exciting mirror-like clamshell and a cool green rim. This is the seventh MOTOYUVA-series mobile phone to be launched in India this year.

The powerful but affordable Motorola MOTOYUVA W396 offers an excellent mobile music experience, with music features that keep consumers connected and entertained. It offers the latest version of MP3 player software that allows users benefits including playlist creation and the ability to organize songs by genre, artist or album. The MOTOYUVA W396 lets users record3 excerpts of songs from its FM radio along with radio data system (RDS)1 functionality, which shows the name of the artist, the song and the genre of music playing. In addition, users can set an FM alarm, and listen to FM radio via stereo earphones or speaker phone.

MOTOYUVA W396 provides users an upgraded version of the Music ID application. The application allows its user to detect the songs played over external speakers and even the songs on FM. The phone also gives access to MOTOMUSIC1, a combined Web1 and WAP1 service with a MOTOMUSIC scratch card inbox offering 10 free ringtone downloads4.

Whether it’s the need to text a friend the favourite tune on the radio or capture an important moment, the MOTOYUVA W396 makes the mobile experience fruitful and rewarding. The MOTOYUVA W396 stores4 favourite songs on optional removable microSDTM cards with up to 2GB of expandable memory2. It offers a storage capacity of 1000 contacts and 750 SMS messages. The MOTOYUVA W396 comes with a quality VGA camera with 4x zoom and auto-save option to snap pictures on a whim for quick sharing with friends via MMS1. It features an enhanced user interface, making it easy to create a text message with one click.

The MOTOYUVA W396 comes with a unique feature of call blocking1 that allows the user the flexibility of choosing the calls that he/she wants to receive. Even a voice call becomes a whole new experience with Motorola’s CrystalTalk™ technology, enhancing each phone call by helping reduce background noises, so callers can always hear and be heard in busy places where one lives, works, and plays.
