Globally Experienced leadership to drive Meridian Mobile, India operations

New Delhi, June 10, 2009: Mr Prem Kumar, a board member of Meridian Mobile based in the UK, now moves to India as CEO of India operations. With India having embarked on a renewed growth phase, Mr Kumar has come from the board of the parent company to focus on spearheading the company’s growth strategy for India given the emerging landscape and the new opportunities afforded by the telecom sector.

 

Mr Kumar brings with him a wealth of experience, of over twenty-seven years, in consumer goods, technology, and management consulting, in both India and abroad. He has spearheaded growth of companies in regions like Europe, USA, Russia, China and South-East Asia, amongst others. He has extensive corporate experience having been the President of a MNC and then moved on to be a Entrepreneur and done start ups and M&As.

 A serial entrepreneur, Mr Kumar has always been involved with companies operating in India even while abroad. Though a visitor to India in the past, Mr Kumar now returns to be based here after nearly fifteen years abroad.
