COMVIVA WINS THE GOLDEN PEACOCK INNOVATION AWARD 2010

·         The company wins its fifth Golden Peacock Award for Innovation

·         Awarded for Comviva’s Mobile Internet Gateway

New Delhi, January 19, 2010 – Comviva, the leading provider of mobile VAS solutions in emerging markets, has won the prestigious Golden Peacock Award for Innovation for its Mobile Internet gateway (MIG) platform. The award was presented by Shri Salman Khurshid, Hon’ble Minister for Corporate Affairs at the award ceremony in the presence of business and political leaders on Saturday, January 16, 2010 in Bangalore.

 

Comviva launched the MIG platform in 2009 and has deployed the solution with major operators in India, as well as in Europe, Africa and Latin America. The Golden Peacock Innovation Award is a bi-annual award, which was introduced by India’s Institute of Directors in 1991. The Golden Peacock Awards are now considered the greatest recognition of corporate excellence in areas of innovation, quality, training, governance, environment management and corporate social responsibility. This year’s jury was under the Chairmanship of Justice P N Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and Member, UN Human Rights Commission.
