Buongiorno Digital Innovation India Ltd. APPOINTS Amit Dey AS ceo

Announces India as the Asia Headquarters for the Joint Venture between Mitsui and Buongiorno

 

New Delhi, 15 December 2009: Buongiorno Digital Innovation India Ltd., a Joint Venture between Mitsui and Buongiorno, the leading provider of mobile entertainment, information, messaging and marketing services in India and APAC region, today announced the appointment of Amit Dey as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The company earlier known as Buongiorno (Hong Kong) Ltd. has been rechristened as Buongiorno Digital Innovation India Ltd. following the shifting of headquarters from Hong Kong to India. This move by the company reiterates the importance of the India market and reaffirms the focus on domestic VAS industry.

 

At Buongiorno Digital Innovation India Ltd., Amit Dey will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and innovative edge to the organization. In addition, Amit will also lead the team in market building initiatives and drive key partnerships for the organization in India and APAC region.

Prior to joining Buongiorno, Amit Dey was the Chief Executive Officer at Axis Ad Print Media, a personal and direct media company. His earlier assignment was with OnMobile Global Ltd as the Head - Sales & Business Development – Europe and Americas. An MBA from IIM Calcutta, Amit has more than 17 years of experience in telecom, automobiles, and plant automation. In the last 12 years that he has been with the telecom industry, he has managed core network business as well as the VAS business. Product development, content development, technology strategic tie-ups and business development are his areas of expertise. Amit has a rich experience from working with global telecom suppliers including Nokia and Ericsson, where he successfully carried out roles in Project Management, Marketing and Account Management.
