Company Press Release:

BT to serve Nestlé with global infrastructure

May 23, 2007: BT has today announced a new global services agreement with Nestlé, the world’s leading Food Company. This very significant deal will see BT deliver, develop and manage Nestlé’s global wide area network services for another three years.

The scope of the contract is to deliver and manage a global VPN (Virtual Private Network) using MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) services connecting more than 1,000 sites worldwide. The service includes multimedia voice and video running across the network as well as the roll out of managed audio conferencing services. The agreement also covers the management of secure inbound and outbound internet traffic using BT’s Managed Firewall service.

The agreement supports Nestlé's Global Business Excellence program. It includes a highly flexible and innovative global service level agreement jointly developed by BT and Nestlé to support the requirements of the contract across all services.

François Barrault, CEO BT Global Services, said: "This contract will mark more than 15 years of relationship with Nestlé, initiated through BT Infonet. It demonstrates Nestlé’s ongoing confidence in BT's commitment to deliver service improvements and a wide range of additional capabilities. This is a further validation of our strategy aimed at delivering high value and strong alignment between BT and its global customers. I am very proud to be part of the next phase of development of our partnership with Nestlé."
