BPL Mobile subscriber base crosses 2 million in January ‘09

Mumbai, February 11th, 2008: Announcing the significant increase in the subscriber base, a number crossing over 2 million, BPL Mobile – get in the loop, Mumbai’s longest standing mobile service provider, continues to maintain its steady growth momentum with the onset of network upgradation, customized segmented products, consistent innovative VAS and dedicated effort towards customer satisfaction.

 

BPL Mobile, in the past few months have substantially grown in their subscriber base, from 1.3 Million in March ’08 to 2 Million in January ’09, a 7 lakh net addition. The net additions percentage share of BPL Mobile in the past 5 months has been at an average of 22%, much above the other operators (GSM and CDMA).

 

Maintaining performance standards and service delivery as the key to its achievement, BPL Mobile has consistently met and exceeded the TRAI Quality of Services standards, and to top this, as per the new TRAI report on Quality of Service and Customer Satisfaction Survey of Telecom services in the Mumbai Service Area, December 2008, BPL Mobile ranked No 1 in overall satisfaction amongst the GSM Operators.

 

From topping the Voice&Data - SAARC Mobile User satisfaction Survey, 2008, in network services with 98.2%, to having increased the subscriber base to 2mn, BPL Mobile has not only reached milestones in its journey of over thirteen years, but has also crossed them.
