NOKIA NSERIES PREMIERES THE NOKIA N96 IN INDIA

Nokia Nseries, the premium multimedia sub-brand of Nokia
today unveiled the Nokia ‘N96’, its most advanced converged
device in India. Optimized for superb web access and
entertainment, the dual-slide Nokia N96 is a perfect blend
of style and cutting edge technology and represents a whole
new chapter in mobile technology. N96 is the first ever
mobile device to offer a memory size of 16GB expandable to
24 GB through an external micro SD card, allowing consumers
to store hours of media and be entertained on the go. It
will be available across the country starting September
2008. Nokia also announced a
pre-booking scheme, offering consumers the
opportunity to secure the N96 in advance. The offer will be
valid through 2000 Nokia outlets across the country starting
August 20, 2008.

Reliance Communications launches BIG TV DTH
MUMBAI, August 19th, 2008: Reliance BIG TV Ltd., a wholly

Bharti Airtel crosses the 75
million customers mark
Emerges as the 4th largest in-country mobile operator in
the world
Bharti Airtel Limited today
announced that its customer base had crossed the 75 million customers
mark making it the largest integrated telecom company in India. The
subscriber figure includes customers from all business units of the
company – mobile services, telemedia services and enterprise services.
With 72.07 million mobile customers as of end of July 2008, Bharti
Airtel further cemented in position as the 4th largest
in-country mobile operator in the world. The company had achieved this
distinction as of end of June 2008 and is well positioned to become the
largest wireless operator in the world outside of China.

a limited edition Titanium silver C902 Cyber-shot

phone as used by James Bond in the eagerly awaited QUANTUM OF SOLACE
which will be released worldwide on November 2008.
The phone,
as used by James Bond - played by actor Daniel Craig in the new
film - will be available for a limited period and include a

been appointed to the newly created position of President
and Region Head of Sony Ericsson India with immediate
effect. Anil joins Sony Ericsson after almost 8 years with
Sony Canada in Toronto, where his most recent position was
Senior Vice President of Broadcast & Business Solutions and
Systems Integration. Prior to this role, he completed a
number of high profile international assignments within the
Sony Group including, senior business and commercial roles
in Europe, India, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. During this time
Anil established and managed Sony’s first production
facility in India and was closely involved in setting up the
Sony Gulf regional operations, with its hub office in Dubai,
and the Sony India organisation, headquartered in Delhi.

Nokia
and Qualcomm Enter Into a New Agreement
Nokia (NYSE: NOK) and
Qualcomm (Nasdaq: QCOM) today announced that they have entered into
a new agreement covering various standards including GSM, EDGE, CDMA,
WCDMA, HSDPA, OFDM, WiMAX, LTE and other technologies. The
agreement will result in settlement of all litigation between the
companies, including the withdrawal by Nokia of its complaint to the
European Commission.
