CLIP lets you know the phone number of the calling party everytime you receive a call. This gives you the flexibility to find out who is calling before either rejecting the call or answering it. You can also save this number directly in the handset phone book. it also helps you recognize missed calls. Name of the calling party will  flash on the handset if the same is available in your handset's phone book.

This feature enables you to restrict your cellular number from being displayed on the receiver's cellular phone. It helps you maintain complete confidentiality of your number. If you don’t want others to know your number, you can use CLIR service. By using this service, your cellular number will not be displayed on the phone screen of the people you call even if they have CLIP activated on their sim card.

You can call up Customer Care of your Service Provider to get CLIP or CLIR activated or deactivated on your Sim Card.
